Also, packing for such a trip will be different from visiting the Dominican Republic, as one will need waterproof jackets, pants, rubber boots. Moreover, they'll need plenty of thermal underwear and gloves, as it does get quite cool. A pair of binoculars will allow one to really experience distant memorable sites. Overall, it is a casual affair. It's also important to note that Antarctic cruises can be quite costly, and typically don't compare to other cruising destinations.
